There are several reasons why seniors downsize. Most of them want to move into a smaller home because they feel that their existing house is too big. When their kids moved out and it became an empty nest, it became tougher and tougher to maintain. Start the sorting process in rooms that you use the least, as they will have less emotional attachments like attics, garages, bathrooms, etc.
